LeRoy Neiman (born 1921) is an American artist primarily known for his brilliantly colored, semi-abstract paintings and screen prints of athletes and sporting events. He was the official artist for five Olympiads. Neiman taught at the Art Institute of Chicago for 10 years early in his career, after studying there. He received national recognition early in his career from his work as contributing artist for Playboy, in the 1950s.
