A biography of the naturalist, geologist, inventor, adventurer, writer and artist who gave up thoughts of engineering and medical school in favor of a life of exploring wilderness areas--from book. Book is bound in blue marbled boards, black printing on the spine. It is clean, straight & tight without any marks or tears. The lower spine edge and upper corners are a little bumped, lower corners show slight wear. Dust jacket is price intact, clean and bright; it is rubbed, some edgewear/chipping and a few small edge tears that are internally mended. A nice copy! ; B/W & Color Photographs; 9 x 6 inches; 126 pages .
