The back cover also includes advertisements for Fox's patent breech-loader (also illustrated), manufactured by the American Arms Co., Boston; the Boston shooting suit; and duck decoys by G.W. Simmons & Son, Boston. Contents: Corrections of Nomenclature in the Genus Siurus by Elliott Coues; Notes on the Breeding of the Black Tern (Hydrochelidon lariformis) by T.S. Roberts; Two Undescribed Nests of Carlifornia Birds by William Brewster; A Contribution to the Biography of Wilson's Phalarope by E.W. Nelson; A Defence of His Catalogue of New England Birds by T.M. Brewer. In Very Good+ Condition: front fore-edge and both lower edges chipped; cover is slightly soiled. Pages are clean and tight.
