Fine straight, clean and tight book with no writing in it other than author's signature/inscription (which reads: "Cordial greetings to (name), John Taine"). The dustjacket is also fine: price intact, crisp, clean and unfaded with no tears or chips. The author in 'real life' was a professor of mathematics named Eric Temple Bell. In this novel, he blends science, math, botany into a sci-fi/adventure tale of a hulking assistant named GOG who accompanies 3 USSR scientists to the US. ; B&W Illustrations; Signed by Author .
