Van Gorden (1899-2002 !) also wrote Historical Characters in Freemasonry and Masonic Charities, and his "Characters" books are typically found in prescribed reading courses for Freemasons: all tend toward the Scottish Rite side of the house. Author was a member of the Society of Blue Friars, a "guild" of Masonic authors. Appendixes, Notes, and Index. List of fictitious, symbolic Masonic characters with Biblical names.
