London: Rider and Co.. VG/VG-. ca. 1915. 1st Thus UK. Hardcover; 1st Printing. 13, 14, 24, 30. Early printing, probably published around 1915; no date other than 1909, but I believe the original was published by Heinnemann instead of Rider and Co. With the extremely scarce dustjacket--lovely, soft colors for the macabre picture of a damsel in her shroud with the hand of 'something' (maybe human, maybe not) sneaking up on her at the edge of the front panel illustration. The book is bound in green cloth with black printing and decoration. It is straight and clean with no handwriting in it; the paper is age-browned and has a few very small edge tears to end pages, and there is some edgewear to the binding and to the spine ends. The dustjacket is priced on the front panel, and has lovely colors in the illustrations on the front and spine, blurbs for Stoker's other books on the back panel, and ads for an inspirational series and 'mental tonics' on the flaps. It has some light handling smudges, and some edge chips, most noticeably at the spine ends. Protected in a removable mylar cover now. This is a lovely little book, and quite scarce. ; 7-1/8" tall x 4-3/4" wide; 355 + ads pages .
