New York: ACA Galleries. Very Good+ with no dust jacket; Occasional, minor, short creases to soft covers. A 3/8" closed tear to the tail of the back cover. 1988. No edition stated; No printing stated. Softcover. A small pamphlet of 10 color reproductions of oil paintings by the "Hoosier Group," in this case being Theodore Clement Steele, William Forsyth, Otto Stark, J. Ottis Adams, and Richard Gruelle. The works were painted in and/or depict landscapes, portraits, and still life in Brown County Indiana USA where the artists lived and Munich Germany where they studied and worked together in the 1880s. Small, but excellent reproductions of their superior work. Each painting accompanied by title, media, and size. As a group they had a naturalistic style that set them apart from the artistic herd of the day and commands stunning auction hammer prices today. A clean, good looking example that's better than VG implies.; Color Photographs; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 19 pages .
