Each page of text faces a full page color illustration by JOB, (J. Onfroy de Breville), who was best known for his military illustrations. Taking an unusual approach, JOB uses toys to portray historical figures and events in French history. In Very Good Condition: edges rubbed; cover slightly soiled; back cover scraped; back free endpaper and blank preceding leaf have old dampstaing along top edge; all pages of text and illustration are clean and bright..
