The book is bound in black cloth with the same rainbow design as the dustjacket embossed on the front panel. It is straight, clean and has no handwriting other than the author's inscription in it. The edges are rubbed from shelving and the spine ends slightly bumped. The price intact, clean and crisp dustjacket has a rainbow design front and back panels, with a picture of Jimi Hendrix on the front panel, and The Who on the back panel. There is some general edgewear, a couple of short, closed edge tears and a few small edge chips. There is also a bit of paper left from a small label upper front flap. A few surface rubs have been unobtrusively touched up (black on black). The bands talk about themselves, about each other, and about their audiences. Words and pictures of some of the leading 60s bands, covering many spectrums of rock--from Motown to Blues to Hard Rock to Acid Rock. Even Folk music. Interviews done by Sue C. Clark who was director of creative services for Command/Probe Records, and photographs by Douglas Kent Hall who later became somewhat famous for celebrity photos.
