The first book of prose by Jocelyn Brooke, this was the first of three semi-autobiographical books, known at the Orchid Trilogy, in which he expressed his nostalgia for his idyllic childhood, as well as his passions for flowers and literature. Book is in Near Fine- Condition: ends of spine are slightly sunned and just starting to fray; otherwise a bright, clean copy. The dust jacket is in Good+ Condition: chipping at corners and ends of spine; slightly rubbed and soiled; small sections lacking at head of spine, along top edge of back section, and at upper corners.
