Final 16 pages contain a list of the publisher's Weale's Series of rudimentary scientific, educational, and classical books. Part of a small bookdealer's label on back fixed endpaper. The folded plates are by Thos. Kell & Son, lithographers, and depict: the condensing beam engine by James Watt and Co., the horizontal semi-portable steam engine, the 1875 patent Galloway boiler, and additional views of the Galloway boiler.
