Harvard College is part of Harvard University. This attractive volume contains obituaries of those members of the Harvard class of 1923 who had died by 1933, as well as information about the current situations of the rest of the class, including Owen Jones Wister (son of the author Owen Wister). In Very Good- Condition: corners rubbed; head of spine fraying; spine sunned; small separate of cloth along back board fore-edge. Emblem on front cover is bright; pages are clean and tight.. No dust jacket. Light brown endpapers with ex-libris section printed on the front free endpaper. Final, folded leaf contains a portrait of the entire class on each side. The ex-libris section on the front free endpaper is filled in with "Peter W. Michaels" who is a member of the class of 1940. Other members of this class are Robert F. Goheen, president of Princeton from 1959 to 1972 (and one of four class members listed as "Best All-Around Man"); Claiborne de Borda Pell, U.S. Senator from Rhode Island from 1961 to 1997; and William Egan Colby, director of the CIA from 1973 to 1976. In Very Good- Condition: ends of spine frayed with small loss of cloth and 1-cm. (less than ½-inch) tear at tail of spine; corners slightly rubbed; occasional marginal soiling; the photograph of John Young Millar, which faces that of the former owner, has been scraped; otherwise pages are clean and tight.
